A Lovely Pause

Roofied

I don't know what you did to me

But you know what you did to me.

Do you know what it's like to be have a dark spot in your memory? A blank, not there, not me...Zombie?

How do you sleep at night?

You know who you are.

Small town underground

You left a ragged scar.

My body remembers

It's left many clues.

I'm glad I can't gather the nightmare of you

The not knowing haunts me.

The knowing haunts me more.

That these people live around me.

I see them in the store.

I relive it in panic with only feelings and pain.

Shivers and tenseness, anxiety again.

How do I point fingers at faces not there...

When only my body has a secret to share?
