Andrea Yount
Chair of the Board
Andrea Yount is a trauma-informed yoga instructor and owner of Affinity Counseling Services in Piggott, AR and Kennett, MO. She is married to Matt Yount, LCSW. They have 2 girls, Avery and Karter, and 2 boys, Jackson and Maddox. Andrea founded A Lovely Pause in 2019 as a personal blog and resource for women healing from trauma. Through her work at Affinity, it became apparent that many people still slipped through the gaps when it came to being able to afford mental health services. Having complex trauma herself, Andrea also began to see where talk therapy alone often failed to cover all the necessary components for success in healing from trauma. A Lovely Pause non-profit was created as a way to help meet the needs of those who live with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders by offering community education and awareness, financial assistance, peer support, and coping skills.
